Bigelow Tea Walk challenge participants

Bigelow Tea Community Challenge

Connecticut Community Bank employees walked in the Bigelow Tea Community Challenge event. The event raises money that helps ensure 23 local charities can deliver important programs that provide educational services, food, housing, safe places, crisis counseling and afterschool tutoring and recreational programs to local communities. Thank you to our employees and Bigelow Tea for all you do in our communities.

Greenwich branch family centers' donation

Family Centers

Our employees of the Greenwich office recently donated Zumba jingle bands and the children’s book “The Busy Body Book – A Kid’s Guide to Fitness, to Family Center’s Fall Literacy and Fitness Program. There are a total of 30 students and their parents in the class the the program combines reading together and learning about health and fitness. Thank you for all you do in our communities!

Bridgeport Rescue Mission

Our Fairfield branch manager, Bill Hanson, recently donated $500 to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission for the purchase of Covid test kits.  Bridgeport Rescue Mission’s vision is to provide food, safe housing, clothing, education, job training and counseling to neighbors in need.  Thank you for all you do for our communities!

Step Up for the Brave Challenge

Team CCB participated in the Homes for the Brave’s 10th Annual Step Up for The Brave Challenge.  20 employees walked and climbed steps around the arena to support Homes for the Brave and our local veterans!  We’re already practicing for next year!

Darien Human Services

Our Darien branch manager, Laurie Griffith recently donated laundry supplies to Darien Human Services. The branch donated enough detergent for 3,784 loads of laundry and 640 dryer sheets.  Darien Human Services provides a wide variety of services, including supportive counseling,  crisis intervention, assistance with mental health, substance abuse and domestic violence issues.   Thank you for all you do for our communities!

The Family Centers Financial Literacy

Our Greenwich branch manager, Carrie Bundock and assistant branch manager, Maria Camacho, recently volunteered with The Family Centers Literacy Program at the New Lebanon School . They donated “I Am Money”, for the families to read, and discussed the various financial scams that they need to be aware of.  Thank you for all you do for our communities!

New Beginnings Family Academy

Fairfield Branch Manager enjoyed the morning reading to classes at New Beginnings Family Academy.  New Beginnings Family Academy is a  public charter school for students in grades Pre-K through 6th, located in Bridgeport, CT. Their mission is to provide students with a meaningful, high-quality education through experience-based learning that helps them develop essential social, emotional, and critical-thinking skills.

Building One Community

Stamford Bank and Trust manager, Juan Anes, presented a wireless microphone system to Building One Community.  The system will be used in the English and Adult Literacy program.  Building One Community’s mission is to advance the successful integration of immigrants and their families.

Our employees volunteered at CT Foodshare this month.  These employees packed 10,530 lbs. of food for our communities.  Nice job everyone!
