Family Centers

Our Greenwich branch recently helped Family Centers in Greenwich with their Spring Family Literacy program! We donated birdhouse and airplane kits for the families to be creative with the reading of “Unflappable”.

We also donated books to the center from our recent book drive. What better way to start the spring season than with the gift of reading!

Our Fairfield branch manager, Bill Hanson, recently made a donation to Burroughs Community Center to provide office supplies to their VITA program. This program offers free tax preparation services and prepares Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) applications for low to moderate income individuals and families. Barbara's House Turkey Donation

Jenniffer Yan, Greenwich Bank and Trust Riverside branch manager and David Moore, Director of Government Guaranteed Lending were pleased to donate 85 turkeys to Barbara’s House in Greenwich. Each year, with the help of volunteers of all ages, Barbara’s House prepares special Thanksgiving meals for over 100 families.  This year, Connecticut Community Bank proudly contributed 85 turkeys to help provide a delicious Thanksgiving dinner to those in need in our community. 

Assisting with the delivery of the turkeys were Fred Camillo, Town of Greenwich First Selectman and Gabby Rattner, Barbara’s House Executive Director.

Barbara’s House is a social service agency dedicated to building skills that empower clients to overcome educational, social, and economic barriers so that they can reach their full potential. Thank you for all you do in our communities!

Our Fairfield branch manager Bill Hanson and Director of Retail Banking John Slater were thrilled to donate a Little Tikes adventure zone to Hall Neighborhood House in Bridgeport. The children are going to have amazing adventures together! Hall Neighborhood House has been serving Bridgeport for 135 years, providing services to infants, children, youth, families and seniors. Connecticut Community Bank employees walked in the Bigelow Tea Community Challenge event. The event raises money that helps ensure 23 local charities can deliver important programs that provide educational services, food, housing, safe places, crisis counseling and afterschool tutoring and recreational programs to local communities. Our employees of the Greenwich office recently donated Zumba jingle bands and the children’s book “The Busy Body Book – A Kid’s Guide to Fitness, to Family Center’s Fall Literacy and Fitness Program. There are a total of 30 students and their parents in the class the the program combines reading together and learning about health and fitness. Thank you for all you do in our communities!

Bridgeport Rescue Mission

Our Fairfield branch manager, Bill Hanson, recently donated $500 to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission for the purchase of Covid test kits.  Bridgeport Rescue Mission’s vision is to provide food, safe housing, clothing, education, job training and counseling to neighbors in need.  Thank you for all you do for our communities!

Step Up for the Brave Challenge

Team CCB participated in the Homes for the Brave’s 10th Annual Step Up for The Brave Challenge.  20 employees walked and climbed steps around the arena to support Homes for the Brave and our local veterans!  We’re already practicing for next year!
