We were grateful to stand along with the other community award winners who’s recognition is a reflection of their hard work and passion.

What a great evening celebrating one of our team members, Anna DiDomenico, for receiving the 2026 Denise “Denny” Taft Davidoff Empowerment Award from Dress for Success Mid-Fairfield County. This recognition reflects her dedication to championing women to achieve their full potential and strengthening our communities.

It was also an evening to celebrate all the work Dress for Success provides to women in our communities, thank you for all you do!

Teddy Bear Drive

Our recent Teddy Bear Drive was an overwhelming success! A big thank you to all our customers and employees who donated over 950 teddy bears and stuffed animal. The stuffed animals were given to local non-profits and the Teddy Bear Brigade Charity.

The Teddy Bear Brigade Charity is a Gleaning For The World program that rehomes over 575,000 stuffed animals annually to children in crisis, both in the U.S. and more than 30 countries worldwide.

Darien Human Services

Volunteer day at Connecticut Foodshare

This week our staff had the honor of volunteering at Connecticut FoodShare for our Volunteer Day. Together with other volunteers, we packed over 8,400 Ibs of food that will help prepare over 7,000 meals for those in need.

Over 80 local businesses and individuals showed up for our Community Shred Day at our Riverside branch office. Together with On-Site Shredding we securely shred more than 4 tons of old documents!

Thank you to everyone who participated in helping protect our community from identity theft and safely disposing of sensitive information.

Homes With Hope

Our Westport branch was happy to help fill the food pantry shelves for the holidays at Homes with Hope. Homes with Hope provides emergency shelter for men and women, supportive housing for individuals and families, rapid re-housing, diversion services, a community kitchen, food pantry, youth development and mentoring. Neighbor to Neighbor

Our Greenwich Bank and Trust managers, Carrie Bundock and Jenniffer Yan were happy to donate a large supply of diapers to Neighbor to Neighbor in Greenwich. Neighbor to Neighbor strengthens the community by providing access to nutritious food, clothing and other essentials in an atmosphere of kindness and respect. Beardsley Zoo

Connecticut Community Bank was pleased to attend the Connecticut Beardsley Zoo’s Annual Gala! This event raises money to support the Zoo and their many offerings in our community. If you have the opportunity, you should visit this hidden gem in Bridgeport!

Hall Neighborhood House

Our Fairfield branch manager Bill Hanson and Director of Retail Banking John Slater were thrilled to donate a Little Tikes adventure zone to Hall Neighborhood House in Bridgeport. The children are going to have amazing adventures together! Hall Neighborhood House has been serving Bridgeport for 135 years, providing services to infants, children, youth, families and seniors. Bigelow Tea Community Challenge

Connecticut Community Bank employees walked in the Bigelow Tea Community Challenge event. The event raises money that helps ensure 23 local charities can deliver important programs that provide educational services, food, housing, safe places, crisis counseling and afterschool tutoring and recreational programs to local communities. Family Centers

September 25, 2024

Our employees of the Greenwich office recently donated Zumba jingle bands and the children’s book “The Busy Body Book – A Kid’s Guide to Fitness, to Family Center’s Fall Literacy and Fitness Program. There are a total of 30 students and their parents in the class the the program combines reading together and learning about health and fitness. Thank you for all you do in our communities!

Bridgeport Rescue Mission

Our Fairfield branch manager, Bill Hanson, recently donated $500 to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission for the purchase of Covid test kits. Bridgeport Rescue Mission’s vision is to provide food, safe housing, clothing, education, job training and counseling to neighbors in need. Thank you for all you do for our communities!

Step Up for the Brave Challenge

Team CCB participated in the Homes for the Brave’s 10th Annual Step Up for The Brave Challenge. 20 employees walked and climbed steps around the arena to support Homes for the Brave and our local veterans! We’re already practicing for next year!

New Beginnings Family Academy

Fairfield Branch Manager enjoyed the morning reading to classes at New Beginnings Family Academy. New Beginnings Family Academy is a public charter school for students in grades Pre-K through 6th, located in Bridgeport, CT. Their mission is to provide students with a meaningful, high-quality education through experience-based learning that helps them develop essential social, emotional, and critical-thinking skills.
