President & CEO Lou Garcia

Connecticut Community Bank is pleased to announce that Lou Garcia has joined the company as President and CEO.

Lou comes to Connecticut Community Bank with more than 25 years of leadership experience with respect to banking, institutional investment management, and alternative investments. As President and Chief Executive Officer, he will be responsible for the strategic leadership of Connecticut Community Bank and oversee its efforts to deliver innovative financial solutions to the communities we serve, helping small businesses grow and supporting individuals in achieving their financial goals. 

Lou will succeed David W. Tralka who will transition to Chairman of the Bank.   “We are excited to have Lou step into this leadership role,” said Tralka.  “His clear financial expertise and strategic planning skills make him an excellent choice to continue our legacy of prudent growth and financial stability.  Lou’s presence deepens Connecticut Community Bank’s investment and commitment in our Fairfield County footprint.”

Connecticut Community Bank continues to be one of the most well-capitalized community banks in Connecticut.  The Bank has been awarded the BauerFinancial 5-Star Rating for 15 consecutive quarters, recognizing the Banks’s focus on maintaining a well-capitalized, financially sound institution through steady management, responsible lending and customer commitment. 

Previously, Lou was a Managing Director at an insurance-focused and credit-oriented investment management firm that was later acquired by The Carlyle Group. Before that, he spent 16 years as Partner and Chief Operating Officer of a Connecticut-based SEC-registered investment advisory firm, where he played a key role in the firm’s strategic growth and operations.

A long-time resident of New Canaan, Lou has served in select industry board and community leadership roles. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University and completed Advanced Professional Study through the Wharton Leadership & Management Program.

Homes for the Brave Step Challenge

We’re thrilled to share that the Connecticut Community Bank employees walked for 90 minutes in the Homes for the Brave Step- Up for the Brave Challenge. Every step supported veterans in our communities and we couldn’t be prouder of our employees!

We are honored that our Norwalk Bank and Trust branch office received the Greater Norwalk Chamber 2026 Professional Services Award!

Dress for Success 2026 Denise “Denny” Taft Davidoff Empowerment Award

What a great evening celebrating one of our team members, Anna DiDomenico, for receiving the 2026 Denise “Denny” Taft Davidoff Empowerment Award from Dress for Success Mid-Fairfield County. This recognition reflects her dedication to championing women to achieve their full potential and strengthening our communities.

It was also an evening to celebrate all the work Dress for Success provides to women in our communities, thank you for all you do!

Teddy Bear Drive

Our recent Teddy Bear Drive was an overwhelming success! A big thank you to all our customers and employees who donated over 950 teddy bears and stuffed animal. The stuffed animals were given to local non-profits and the Teddy Bear Brigade Charity.

The Teddy Bear Brigade Charity is a Gleaning For The World program that rehomes over 575,000 stuffed animals annually to children in crisis, both in the U.S. and more than 30 countries worldwide.

Darien Human Services

Connecticut Community Bank is proud to support Darien Human Services with a donation of laundry detergent to help local families in need. Clean clothes may seem like a small thing – but they make a big difference in everyday dignity and comfort.
